In 1981, the first students were admitted to the institute - 250 boys and girls. they entered their specialty" Physical culture", "Russian language and literature in national school", "Pedagogy and methodology primary education", "Physics and Mathematics", "Mathematics and Physics", "General technical disciplines and labor". All faculties and other structural divisions of ChIGPI were located in a new building at 62 Ordzhonikidze Ave.

CHIGPI developed at a rapid pace: new specialties were opened: “Preschool pedagogy and psychology”, “ fine arts and drawing", "Chemistry and Biology", "Biology and Chemistry". Academic buildings were built, opportunities for conducting practical classes in their own workshops and laboratories were expanded. In 1989, students of four faculties, including philological, were located in the equipped premises of the factory dormitories along Staropromyslovskoe Highway, continued their studies in a new building in the microdistrict, which in its beauty and compliance with its functional purpose had no equal not only in our republic, but far beyond its borders.
The institute had two beautiful five-story dormitories. All conditions were created for the students living in them to prepare for classes and have a good rest. As rector M.U. said. Umarov, “..the university, despite the never-ending obstacles from officials, has become a real forge of qualified teaching staff for educational institutions.”

However, the destructive processes that began in 1991 in the republic found fertile ground in the institute in the person of a small group of supporters of destructive forces.

Today the Chechen State pedagogical institute- a university occupying a leading position in the field of higher education vocational education Chechen Republic. special attention is paid here to staffing educational process and improving the material and technical base.

In terms of quality, the teaching staff of ChSPI, ahead of a number of universities in the North Caucasus, is approaching the Russian average: more than 50% of its teachers are doctors and candidates of science, professors and associate professors. Students are taught in the bright premises of a restored three-story and two five-story buildings. This year, on Institute Day (November 28), the central building at 62 Ordzhonikidze Ave., in which the youngest university in our republic began its activities, came into operation.

Story

ChSPI was opened in Grozny in 1980. Initially it was called CHIGPI - Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute.

Since 1992, the institute has been called ChSPI. The first rector of this institute was for many years Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Umarov Mukhari Umarovich.

In 1981, the first students came to CHIGPI - 250 boys and girls. Specializations of the university in 1981-1989:

Story

The Chechen State Pedagogical Institute was established on November 28, 1980 in the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic by a Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR.

Initially it was called CHIGPI - Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute. Rector of the third higher education institution in those years educational institution Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mukhari Umarovich Umarov, known in the republic as one of the organizers, was appointed to the Chechen Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic university public education, who previously headed the Ministry of Education for many years.

The first enrollment of students was carried out in 1981 for the following specialties:

and others. The university students were mainly graduates of rural schools of the republic. Well-equipped educational buildings and dormitories, highly qualified teaching staff allowed the university to successfully train highly qualified national personnel for the regional education system.

The destructive processes that began in 1991 in the republic and the subsequent military actions could not but affect the activities of the university. For several years the institute found itself isolated from educational space Russia. In fact, only in recent years The institute, like other universities of the republic, had the opportunity to conduct full-fledged activities and enter the educational field of Russia.

On April 17, 1995, CHIGPI was renamed the Chechen State Pedagogical Institute. Doctor of Philology, Professor Bekhan Abusupyanovich Khazbulatov, who headed the university for more than 17 years, was appointed rector.

By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated May 23, 2011 No. 1726, the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education ChSPI was renamed into the Federal State Pedagogical Institute budgetary institution higher professional education "Chechen State Pedagogical Institute".

Since March 1, 2013, the university has been headed by a candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor Khozh-Akhmed Sultanovich Khaladov.
