Balls in the Russian language. Primary and test (secondary) USE scores: what is the difference? Minimum test score

Modern exams are evaluated not on a five-point system, but on a hundred-point system. This means that you don't have to talk about the usual grades: twos, threes, fours, fives. An exam is considered failed if the threshold set for that exam is not passed. And for each subject this border is different. You can get an acceptable final score for yourself, but "fill up" the exam, losing the opportunity to enter a higher educational institution.

What are primary USE scores?

Each exam has its own structure. The USE in different subjects differs in the total number of tasks, the format of the test part, the complexity of tasks with a detailed answer. Assignments can be assessed by different numbers of points. This also applies to test tasks of various types: for the simplest of them you can get one point, for the most difficult - up to four or five points. These are primary scores.

Primary scores are the scores by which the student's responses are evaluated. If you can get up to two points for the correct performance of a task, these are not the two points that, together with others, add up to one hundred points. Quantity primary points everywhere is different and depends only on the structure of the exam, but this figure is always less than one hundred. By the way, the Unified State Examination in foreign languages is an exception - there is no scale for transferring points and other subtleties, which means that the primary score can be considered final.

How many primary scores in the Unified State Examination in the Russian language?

The test part of the Russian language exam - 33 primary points.

The written part of the Russian language exam - 24 primary points.

In the Unified State Examination in the Russian language 57 primary points. Moreover, each score (as in any other exam in the USE format) has an equal "value". It doesn't matter in which part you earned points: when transferring to a hundred-point system, this is not taken into account.

What are secondary (test) USE scores?

It is no coincidence that the site has a scale for translating scores in Russian. With its help, primary scores become secondary. And this happens very simply: with the help of a special table, the primary scores are converted into test scores - a hundred-point system. - document, the requirements of which must be fulfilled. Not people are engaged in the transfer of points: the required value is calculated by a computer.

Secondary (test) scores are scores in a hundred-point grading system. It is by them that the fact of passing the exam (passing the threshold) is determined. On test scores, applicants enter universities. Secondary points are in direct proportion to the primary ones - the more primary points scored, the higher the final result.

How to convert primary points to secondary?

As mentioned above, for this you need to use . You can’t do without it: a difference of one primary score can raise or lower the final score by one or more points. It all depends on the number of primary points scored: in different parts of the table, the "price" of the primary point varies.

To get the maximum score - 100 points - for the Russian language exam, you must complete all tasks without errors. This is the scale of translation. But in the math exam, you can not do all the tasks correctly, but get the highest mark.

Since 2001, many schoolchildren have been familiar with a new type of exam - the USE (unified state exam), despite the fact that its introduction into the school education system has been smooth, they have not become less afraid of it. Future graduates are interested in questions about the number of upcoming exams, but also about the scores they should receive.

USE scores

There are three types minimum points that students can receive on the basis of the passed exam:

  • The first type gives the right to receive a certificate;
  • The second makes it possible to apply to higher educational institutions of the country;
  • The third one is sufficient for admission to a budgetary basis in a specific specialty, in a certain university of the country.

It is not surprising that for many students, the exam has become a rather strong emotional test, in fact, you should not wind yourself up too much before passing the exams, you need to prepare well and be self-confident. Despite the severity of the conduct, this is just an exam that can be retaken in case of failure. With proper training and approach, passing the exam is not so difficult.

AT USE forms various tasks are presented, they must be completed in a certain time, as they pass, the student receives primary points, each subject has its own maximum values. During the test of the level of knowledge, the primary scores are converted into the resulting ones and it is they who are entered in the certificate, they are the main ones when entering a university.

Planned passing scores in 2018

There is still time before the exam, and many who wish can get acquainted with the passing scores in 2018, not only to know them, but also to be able to prepare for the exam in advance.

Many universities announce in advance the score required for admission to a budget place, this allows you to realistically assess your chances of getting into the chosen educational institution, as well as select the most suitable options. In 2018, strong changes with passing the exam and admission to the university is not expected, students can focus on the data of the previous year, so in 2017 for educational institutions capitals, the passing score was 80-90, for other cities the requirements are not so high and vary between 65-75 points.

Will there be changes in 2018

At first glance, there is simply nothing to change in the education system, nevertheless, the level of education in our country is getting lower and lower every year, it is reasonable to conclude that it is time to change everything. It is hard for everyone and the students, and their parents, and of course, the teachers. The requirements are getting higher and higher every year, for many the exam is stressful, some cannot cope with such pressure.

Today, mathematics and Russian are compulsory subjects for delivery, more are planned to be added in 2018. Since 2009 compulsory exams pass in subjects that are not only graduation at school, but also entrance to the universities of our country, it is not surprising that there are plans to introduce history as another compulsory subject. It is planned to implement the plan in 2018 or 2019, in any case, the data will either be confirmed or refuted very soon.

Attitude towards the exam

Since 2001, the attitude towards the USE is still relevant, some oppose it, others defend it as a progress in the education system, there are those who do not focus on it, continuing to study and teach.

How the results of the exam are evaluated

The results of the Unified State Examination are evaluated on a 100-point scale and put up in a special "Certificate of the results of the unified state exam."

When evaluating USE results set the minimum number test scores for each educational subject, confirming that the graduate has mastered the basic general education programs of secondary (complete) education in accordance with the requirements of the federal educational standard of secondary (complete) general education. If the student scored less than the established minimum number of points (did not overcome the minimum threshold), then the exam is considered not passed.

The value of the minimum threshold is announced within 6-8 days after conducting the exam on the subject in the main terms and 2-3 days after the exam in additional terms in July.

USE assessment scale

When you complete tasks on the exam, 1 or more points are awarded for each correct solution, depending on the complexity. At the same time, a correctly completed task of part A or B is estimated at 1 point, part C - up to 4 points. The sum of these scores is called the Primary Score (PB). In fact, this is the number of correctly completed tasks.

    The number of minimum PBs for different subjects may vary, for example:
  • mathematics: 36 PB,
  • biology: 36 PB,
  • foreign languages: 22 PB.

But these are not the points that will be useful to you, for example, for entering a university. They need to be translated on a 100-point scale. This is the so-called test score"(TB).

TB assesses the level of preparedness of the student. It depends on the level of difficulty of the completed tasks on the exam. This score is used to determine the final grade. The maximum test score for the exam in any subject: 100 points.

The primary score is converted into a test score using a special formula.

How the exam affects the receipt of a certificate

The basis for issuing a certificate of secondary education to a graduate is the satisfactory results of the Unified State Examination, i.e., the number of points is not lower than the minimum threshold for compulsory subjects(Russian language and mathematics). In this case, the graduate receives 2 documents: a school certificate and a certificate of USE results.

The final grades are set in the certificate according to the traditional 5-point system, which are defined as the arithmetic mean of the graduate's annual grades for grades 10-11 (12).

The results of the USE do not affect the final grades given in the certificate.

If a graduate has not overcome the minimum threshold in one of the subjects - Russian language or mathematics - at the Unified State Examination in the main terms and during the retake, then a certificate is not issued to him.

How and when you can find out the results of the exam

The results of the exam must be known to the participants no later than 3 working days after Rosobrnadzor announces the minimum thresholds for each of the subjects. Thus, no more than 12 days pass from the date of the exam. Most regions inform their USE participants at an earlier date.

For USE participants - graduates of the current year, certificates of USE results are issued at an educational institution. The rest of the USE participants will find out their results where they received a pass for the USE: this is either the PES in which they passed the exam, or the education authority of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, local education authorities.

According to the current regulations, each subject of the Russian Federation is independently responsible for informing USE participants about the results. In some regions, this information can be accessed online for free. You can find out your results by having an individual code (passport number, etc.).

  • Moscow and Moscow region: www.rcoi.net
  • St. Petersburg and Leningrad region: ege.spb.ru

Lists of USE participants with their exam results are posted on information stands (at school, PES, education authority, etc.).

Validity of the certificate of the results of the exam

On November 20, 2013, letter No. DL-345/17 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation “On the effect of the USE results” was published.

"The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia on the issue of the validity of the results of the unified state exam obtained before the entry into force on September 1, 2013 of the Federal Law of December 29, 2012 No. 273-ФЗ "On Education in Russian Federation(hereinafter referred to as the Federal Law), informs.

According to Part 2 of Article 70 of the Federal Law, the results of the unified state examination for admission to study in undergraduate and specialist programs valid for four years following the year in which such results were obtained.

Therefore, admission to organizations that carry out educational activities for bachelor's and specialist's programs, is allowed based on the results of the unified state exam, confirmed by certificates of the Unified State Examination issued in 2015 and 2016, and valid until the end of 2019 and 2020, respectively

The USE certificate after September 1, 2020 is valid for four years following the year the exam was taken. That is, the certificate of 2018 expires in December 2022 and can be used for admission to universities in the period from 2018 to 2022. Therefore, certificates issued in 2019 and 2020 are valid until 2023 and 2024, respectively.

The 2018-2019 academic year will be the graduation year for many Russian schoolchildren who are already concerned about the successful completion of the Unified State Exam and successful admission to a good university.

We will tell you how exam papers are checked in various subjects, how the scale for converting USE scores into grades works, and what innovations can be expected in 2019.

Principles for evaluating the work of the USE 2019

For several recent years USE system in a number of subjects has undergone significant changes and was brought to the optimal (according to the organizers) format, which allows to fully assess the amount of knowledge of the graduate in a particular subject.

No fundamental changes are expected in 2018-2019, and we can say with confidence that the same principles will be applied to evaluate the work of graduates as in 2017-2018:

  1. automated verification of forms;
  2. involvement of experts in checking tasks with detailed answers.

How does the computer evaluate?

The first part of the examination paper involves a short answer to the questions posed, which the USE participant must enter in a special answer form.

Important! Before starting the work, be sure to read the rules for filling out the form, as an incorrectly executed work will not pass an automated check.

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of a computer check. If the work was not counted due to the fault of the participant who incorrectly filled out the form, the result is equated to unsatisfactory.

How do experts evaluate?

In many subjects, in addition to the test part, there are tasks that require a full detailed answer. Since it is impossible to automate the process of checking such answers, experts are involved in the verification - experienced teachers with a long work experience.

Checking USE teacher does not know (and even with a strong desire cannot find out) whose work lies before him and in what city (region) it was written. Verification is carried out on the basis of uniform assessment criteria developed specifically for each subject. Each work is checked by two experts. If the opinion of the experts coincides, the assessment is put on the form, but if independent appraisers disagree, then a third expert is involved in the verification, whose opinion will be decisive.

That is why it is important to write legibly and accurately so that there is no ambiguous interpretation of words and phrases.

Primary and test scores

Based on the results of the test, the USE participant is awarded a certain number of primary points, which are then transferred to text (points for the entire test). In different subjects, a different maximum of primary points is provided, depending on the number of tasks. But after bringing the result according to the corresponding table, the USE participant receives the final test score, which is the official result of his final tests (maximum 100 points).

So, in order to pass the exam, it is enough to score the established minimum threshold for the initial score:

Focusing on these numbers, you can accurately understand that the exam has been passed. But what kind of assessment? The online scale of 2018 will help you with this, designed specifically for converting primary USE scores into test ones, which will also be relevant for the results of 2019. A handy calculator can be found on the website 4ege.ru.

Announcement of official results

Graduates are always concerned about the question - how quickly you can find out what result was obtained when passing and what will be the scale for converting points scored on the exam into traditional grades in 2019.

Teachers are often taken to reassure students by working through the tasks of the USE tickets immediately after the exam and evaluating the quality of the work done by the pupils and the amount of primary points scored. Official results must be expected for 8-14 days, according to the established regulations for the USE-2019. On average, the organizers approve the following inspection schedules:

  • 3 days to check the work;
  • 5-6 days for information processing at the federal level;
  • 1 working day to approve the results of the SEC;
  • 3 days to post results online and transfer data to educational institutions.

In the event of unforeseen situations and technical problems, these terms may be revised.

You can find out the owl score:

  • directly at your school;
  • on the check.ege.edu.ru portal;
  • on the gosuslugi.ru website.

Converting points to grade

Since 2009, the results of the USE have not been included in the graduate certificate. Therefore, today there is no official state system for translating the USE result into an assessment on a school 5-point scale. As part of the introductory campaign, the test score scored in the exam is always summed up and taken into account. But, many students are still interested to know how they passed the exam - 3 or 4, 4 or 5. For this, there is a special table that details the correspondence for each of the 100 points for each of the subjects.

Using such a table is quite inconvenient. It is much easier to find out how you passed the Russian language, mathematics or history using the 4ege.ru online calculator, which also contains the USE score conversion scale, which is relevant for 2019 graduates.

Having received the result of the exam, it is worth deciding on the university as soon as possible, comparing your capabilities with the real competition for the specialties of interest. Thus, the practice of past years shows that in a number of cases it is difficult to get into the most popular areas in metropolitan universities even with high scores, because not only holders of 100-point USE results, but also winners of the largest Olympiads of the 2018-2019 academic year will compete for places.
