How many points do you need to score on the exam in order to. How many exam points do you need to enter the budget. Explanation for grading

On the budget in 2018 - another test. There is a lot of information on the Internet on this issue, it is on the websites of universities and other official sources. To help you understand, we have collected all the data in one article. in front of you step-by-step instruction, which will help assess your chances of free education.

In Russia, the state pays for about 50% of places in universities

Step 1. Studying how many free places there are

Each state university is obliged to allocate places on a budgetary basis. The number of places in the free department depends on the popularity of the faculty and specialty. And get budget higher education is possible not only in Moscow universities. In some places, the number of free places reaches 1.5-2 thousand. For example, in Belgorod, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kirov, Rostov-on-Don, Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Chelyabinsk and other Russian cities.

Step 2. Understanding the terms

Consider the concepts without which it is difficult to assess your chances of admission:

  • the minimum threshold for USE scores;
  • the minimum number of points for admission;
  • passing score in universities.

What is a threshold score?

To get a certificate, you need to score a certain number of points in each subject. Here's how it was in 2017:

  • Russian language - 36 points;
  • mathematics - 27 points;
  • social science - 42 points;
  • computer science - 40 points;
  • foreign language- 22 points.

For example, you have chosen passing the exam foreign language, then you need to score 36 points in Russian, 27 in mathematics and 22 in a foreign language - a total of 85 points. In theory, this is enough to apply to the university. But in practice, this is very little to enroll in a free department.

What is the minimum score?

Each university sets its own minimum number of USE scores for admission. Many technical educational establishments are not ready to accept those who scored less than 50 points in mathematics. Humanitarian - put forward increased requirements for languages.

What is a passing score

The passing score depends on the results of the USE with which applicants were enrolled last year. Especially important is the result of the last lucky person who entered the budget with a minimum number of points.

Example. 200 people wanted to enter, and there were 50 state-funded places. The student with the lowest result is considered to be passing. For example, with 150 points, while the rest had a higher score.

The average USE score in 2017 is 68.2

Step 3. Choose a university by passing score

If you can figure out what score you will get on the USE, then it's time to choose the right university. By the way, trial exams help to assess your chances well.

All universities with free places, they are also called budgetary institutions of higher education, for convenience, we will divide into three categories:

  • the most popular, or top;
  • medium;
  • unpopular.

Typically, top universities put forward increased requirements, while the rest lower the bar to attract applicants. Let's look at the passing scores of universities in all three categories in 2017.

If your GPA is above 85: passing scores in popular universities

Conclusion. To enter top universities, the average USE score must be above 80-85. It’s hard to get into the number of such excellent students, do you agree? If you are unsure of good results, consider schools with less stringent requirements.

If your GPA is between 65 and 80 points: passing scores in secondary universities

Conclusion. With an average USE score of 65-80 in 2017, it was possible to enter budgetary and leading regional universities.

If your GPA is 55-65 points: passing scores in unpopular universities

Conclusion.If you score below 65 points, don't panic. Passing scores in many regional universities are below this bar. And today you can get a good higher education not only in the capitals.

Step 4. Evaluate your chances by the number of points

280-300 points - best universities countries, any specialty.

200-250 points- popular universities, specialties: linguistics, foreign language, law, economics, management, health care, mathematics, physics.

200 points- secondary universities, specialties: computer science and computer technology, pedagogy, chemistry and biotechnology, automation and control, electrical engineering, energy. Or leading regional universities, any specialty.

150-200 points- secondary universities, specialties: geology, ecology, vehicles, agriculture and fisheries. Or unpopular universities, any specialty.

Less than 150 points- unpopular universities, some specialties.

Sometimes, even with a high score, you can not get into the cherished twenty, and with a low one, by a lucky chance, you can enter the desired university. The main thing is to use all the chances and do not forget about fallback options.

Passing scores at universities depend on the level of graduates and are recalculated annually. For example, this is how scores at Moscow State University for applicants to law school changed: 331 in 2014, 359 in 2015, 356 in 2016, 347 in 2017. The passing scores for 2018 will be published by the university when graduates submit their documents.

The university may set minimum passing scores for each subject. For example, those entering the Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov in the direction of "medical business" should be at least 54 points in chemistry, biology and the Russian language. The minimum scores, if any, are indicated in the admission rules on the website of any university. You will find them in the 2018 Admissions Campaign section.

Do not confuse the minimum passing scores and the average USE score. The average score is calculated according to the results of applicants who entered the university: the total passing score is divided by the number of exams - usually three. For example, the passing score for the direction "economics" is 251: 251/3 = 83.6. We round up and get 84 - this will be the average score.

Here are the average USE scores for applicants to Moscow universities for full-time budget department:

Usually for admission you need only USE results, but some universities conduct DWI - additional entrance tests. For example, Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University can conduct DWI for undergraduate and specialist programs.

Additional creative or professional tests are available at many universities in the areas of "architecture", "pediatrics", "journalism", "pedagogical education", "physical culture", "television". See the order of the Ministry of Education and Science for a complete list of directions. DWI is usually assessed on a 100-point scale, so the passing score in some universities is more than 300 or 400 - depending on the number of exams.

Why look at the passing scores of past years

It is useful to look at the passing scores of 2017 in order to assess your chances. The level of graduates varies every year, but not always significantly. On the university website, the passing scores of past years are indicated in the section for applicants.

To prepare tables with passing scores, we have selected several popular training areas. The Ministry of Education and Science reported that in 2017 these were economic programs - 21 people. / place, specialty in the field of politics and international relations - 20 people. /place, media - 19 people. / place, medicine - 8–16 people. / place, engineering and technical areas - 7 people. / place.

The tables show the passing scores for the full-time budgetary department of Moscow universities. If the passing score is above 300, then the university has additional exams in this area.

Minimum points required. Transfer of points to a five-point system.

Parents and students often ask the question: how many points in a subject do you need to score in order for the subject to be considered passed? Here is a letter from Rosobrnadzor on the conditions for passing the OGE and transferring it to a five-point system. USE scores.

● Minimum points for subjects:

Continued on the second page.

Exams are always a very difficult time for any person. Be it a parent, a careless student or a student. Now the role of exams is highly valued. Therefore, in the article we will consider them in more detail.

Exam Forms

Every ninth grader must pass exams in the form of the OGE. But there is another form of certification - GVE. It differs from the first one in that it is not standard, that is, depending on the individual capabilities and characteristics of the student, control and measuring materials are created. It can be tickets, tests, oral answer. This was created for children with health problems, disabilities, who study in correctional specialized schools or who are in places of deprivation of liberty by a court verdict.

Innovations

Previously, it was necessary to pass 2 compulsory subjects in order to receive a certificate of graduation from a basic school. In 2016, the number of compulsory ones increased to 4. Among them were the Russian language and mathematics (mathematics is not divided into profile and basic, as happens when passing the exam in the form of the Unified State Examination in grade 11), and the ninth grader has the right to choose the remaining 2 exams independently from the list items to donate:

  • literature;
  • story;
  • geography;
  • chemistry;
  • physics;
  • biology;
  • foreign languages (English, French, German and Spanish);
  • social science;
  • Informatics;

But choosing 2 items is a necessary condition. In 2016, the innovation was a trial, so the marks received in 2 additional subjects were not included in the certificate. And in 2017, they will influence the formation of the final grade in the certificate at the end of grade 9.

The final application for participation in the exam must be submitted no later than March 1. Until that time, previous applications can be withdrawn and changed more than once. But it’s better not to do this, but to decide on a set of exams in September and start preparing for them in order to get a good result. And the result in this type of exam is points. So how many points do you need to score at the OGE in order to get good grades in the certificate?

Russian language

The Russian language exam consists of 3 parts (15 tasks). In the first part, students must listen to the audio recording, which the organizers play in the audience (the recording is played 2 times), and then write a concise summary based on the passage they heard, the volume of which should be at least 70 words.

The second part consists of 13 tasks. All of them are performed on the basis of the proposed text, the answers are recorded in a special form. Part 3 involves writing an essay-reasoning, again based on the text read in the 2nd part.

To write an essay, it is proposed to choose one of the three proposed topics. The exam takes 3 hours and 55 minutes. Each student must be provided with a spelling dictionary. The maximum number of points that can be scored is 39. How many points do you need to score at the OGE to get a grade of "3"? At least 15 points. A score of "4" starts at 25 points, and a "5" starts at 34.

Maths

The exam consists of 3 modules:

  1. The first part consists of eight tasks and is focused on solving tasks in algebra.
  2. In the second part there are only 5 tasks. All of them are in the "Geometry" block: 4 tasks are tasks, and the last one is the choice of correct judgments.
  3. The third module assesses the student's abilities in the "Real Mathematics" block. There are 7 tasks in this module. In addition, there is a second part in the math exam, where the choice of the answer is not implied. All tasks must be completed with a complete solution. The second part is subdivided into algebra and geometry.

The unresolved question is how many points you need to score in mathematics? OGE implies that in order to get a satisfactory mark, you need to score at least 8 points. Provided that 3 of them are in algebra, 2 in geometry and 2 in real mathematics. A score of "4" is given from 15 points, and "5" from 22. The maximum score is 32. Then the scores obtained are divided into final marks in geometry and algebra.

Chemistry

The exam consists of 2 parts. The first one is a test one, the second implies a complete design of the solution. For the exam, students must be provided with the necessary basic tables and a calculator. 2 hours are allotted for solving the exam questions.

How many points do you need to score on the OGE in chemistry? At least 9 points for a satisfactory score, for a score of "4" - 28 points, and "5" is 29 points. Their maximum number is 38.

Biology

Biology, like chemistry, consists of 2 parts. For completing the exam, you can get 33 points, this is the maximum. It is known how many points you need to score at the OGE in biology in order to get "3", - 13. A score of "4" - 26, "5" can be obtained by scoring more than 37 points.

Geography

In geography, you can get no more than 32 points. A student who gets more than 12 qualifies for a grade of "3". When passing the threshold of 20 points, the mark "4" is put, and a high score is set from 27 points.

Social science

Those who choose social studies also care about how many points they need to score. OGE 2016 showed, by the way, that this subject is chosen much more often than others. And here, to get a certificate, it is enough to score 15 points.

The main subjects, which in most cases are chosen by ninth-graders for passing exams, were considered. But there are others, they can also be selected as checked. In order to successfully pass them, you need to find out how many points you need to score to pass the exam and receive a certificate, and try to get the maximum result.

Each graduate understands perfectly well that in order to successfully enter the specialty of interest, it is necessary to prepare well for the Unified State Exam 2018 and gain the maximum possible scores. What does it mean to “pass the exam well” and how many points will be enough to compete for a budget place in a particular university? This will be discussed in this article.

We will cover the following important questions:

First of all, it is important to understand what exists:

  • minimum score giving the right to obtain a certificate;
  • the minimum score that allows you to apply to the university;
  • the minimum score sufficient for real income to the budget in a particular specialty at a particular university in Russia.

Naturally, these figures differ significantly.

Minimum certification score

Minimum certification points USE set for compulsory subjects- Russian language and mathematics of the basic level and in 2018 are:

Having overcome this threshold, but not reaching the minimum test score, the examinee will receive a certificate, but will not be able to apply to the university.

Minimum test score

The test minimum is the threshold value that gives the right to enter the university. In other words, persons who have overcome the test threshold theoretically have the right to join the fight for budget places. Although, in practice, it is almost impossible to enter highly rated universities with minimal performance.

In 2018, in all subjects except the Russian language and basic mathematics test minimum scores of the USE coincide with the attestation ones and are:

Subject

Minimum test score

Russian language

Mathematics (basic level)

Mathematics (profile level)

Social science

Literature

Foreign language

Biology

Informatics

Geography

The principle of calculating the success of passing the unified state exam assumes that the subject must demonstrate a high, average or sufficient level of knowledge, corresponding to grades "5", "4" and "3" in the school scale.

In case of an unsatisfactory result, as well as when passing a score that the examinee considers insufficient for himself, graduates are given the right to retake the exam.

Minimum score for admission to the budget

Most universities announce the threshold score required for applicants for a budget place. This allows each applicant to realistically assess the prospects for admission and choose universities and specialties based on the points scored in the USE.

In 2018, you can focus on the fact that last season the average passing scores for all USE subjects among applicants who entered MGIMO and other highly rated universities in the capital, fluctuated between the threshold value of 80-90. But, for most regional universities of the Russian Federation, 65-75 points can already be considered a competitive result.

Converting the primary score to the resulting one

Completing the tasks proposed in the USE ticket, the examinee gains the so-called primary scores, whose maximum value varies depending on the item. When evaluating the level of knowledge, such primary scores are converted into the resulting ones, which are entered in the certificate and are basic upon admission.

With the help of an online calculator, you can compare primary and test scores in subjects of interest.

Just like last year, in 2018, recruited during the passage USE scores affect the score of the certificate and, although the table for comparing the test score and traditional grades is not officially accepted, you can approximately compare your scores right now using the universal calculator.

Please note that the average passing scores for different specialties in the same university can vary significantly. This figure reflects the minimum score of applicants who entered the budget, and tends to change every year. The results of 2017 can only serve as a guideline for applicants in 2018, motivating them to achieve the highest possible results.

There are many factors that affect the minimum passing score, including:

  1. the total number of graduates who have applied and the scores indicated on their certificates;
  2. the number of applicants who provided original documents;
  3. the number of beneficiaries.

So, having seen your last name in 20th place in the list of a specialty that provides for 40 budget places, you can confidently consider yourself a student. But, even if you find yourself on this list of 45, there is no reason to be upset if among those standing in front of you there are 5-10 people who provided copies of documents, because most likely these people are tuned to another university and applied for this specialty as a fallback .
