Lipetsk State Technical University trains specialists for mechanical engineering, metallurgy, transport industry, chemical technology, economists, managers and many others.

Lipetsk State Technical University was organized in November 1956.

Lipetsk State Technical University has the status of the basic educational institution of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works. The cooperation of the plant with LGTU is carried out in order to train specialists in specialized areas for a metallurgical enterprise. In 2013, the Company hired 77 graduates of the Leningrad State Technical University, 57 of them, while studying at the university, were participants in the NLMK programs: “Vladimir Lisin Personal Scholarship” and “Additional Vocational Training for Students of the Leningrad State Technical University”.

One of the priorities of LGTU is the social sphere: the university has its own hostel, sports complex, canteen, swimming pool. Public organizations, the trade union committee of LSTU students, the museum of the university are actively working, the university newspaper is published.
