Translation of exam points. Translation of exam scores in Russian. When to expect results

Each graduate who wants to become a student of one of the universities of the Russian Federation in 2018 faces a difficult task - to successfully pass the exam, as well as choose the right educational institution and faculty for submission of documents. The majority of 11th graders and their parents are faced with the final exam grading system for the first time and often find it difficult to find answers to the questions that arise. Therefore, we decided to shed light on important points.

In 2017-2018, the basic rules for passing the exam will not be significantly changed. This means that the 100-point system for grading final tests will still be relevant for graduates.

How is everything going?

In the course of checking the examination papers, for each correctly completed task, the graduate receives the so-called “primary points”, which, upon completion of the work check, are summed up and converted into a “test score”, which is indicated in the USE certificate.

Important! Since 2009, the scale for converting primary and test USE scores into traditional five-point grades for schools has not been officially used, because in 2017 and 2018 final exams are not included in the certificate.

Checking work is done in two ways:

  • automatically (with the help of special programs and technical means);
  • manually (the correctness of detailed answers is checked by two independent experts).

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of an automatic check. If the basic rules were not followed when filling out the answer table, the computer may not protect the result, and only the graduate himself, who did not follow a number of mandatory rules, will be to blame for this.

If disputes arise during peer review, a third specialist is involved, whose opinion will be decisive.

When to expect results?

The following time limits apply by law:

  • data processing (according to compulsory subjects) in the RCSC should not last longer than 6 calendar days;
  • for data processing (subjects of choice) RTsOI give 4 days;
  • verification at the Federal Testing Center should take no more than 5 working days;
  • approval of the results by the State Examination Commission - 1 more day;
  • up to 3 days to send the results to the USE participants.

In practice, from the moment you pass the exam to getting your hands on official result may take 8 to 14 days.

Converting USE scores to grade

Despite the fact that officially in 2018 the scale for transferring points according to USE subjects in a five-point assessment is not used, many still want to interpret their result in a more familiar "school" system. To do this, you can use special tables or online calculators.

Literature

The second method is a little easier and more convenient than searching for the desired values in the cells of a huge table. It is enough just to choose a subject (mathematics, Russian, chemistry, physics, history, English language, social studies ... and other subjects), enter data and get the desired result in a matter of seconds.

We suggest trying how simple and convenient it is to use in practice the online calculators of the USE score and its conversion to a 5-point grade.

Internet systems for applicants

The academic year 2017-2018 is over, the exam has been passed, the results are known and even an interactive translation scale primary points showed that USE result located in a fairly good range ... But, is this enough to enter the desired university?

Assess the real chances of entry, based on test scores and the minimum passing threshold set by the university.

Important! The minimum passing score is formed by the university itself. It will directly depend on the scores of applicants who apply in 2018. The more popular the specialty, the higher the passing score will be.

Often, at the TOP faculties, even 100-point results are not enough for admission to the budget. Only winners of the Olympiads, who give significant additional points, have a chance to see their last name in the lists of applicants for such areas.

In 2018, the most popular services for selecting a university and monitoring the entrance score threshold for various specialties will be:

  1. Ucheba.ru
  2. Apply online
  3. Calculator high school economy
  4. Postyplenie.ru
  5. Typical entrant

Finding these services is very easy. It is enough to enter their name into any search engine.

Last year's exam showed that students spent a little more time on some tasks than was regulated, so many of the graduates did not have time to solve all the tasks of high and increased levels of complexity, so at the 2016 exam it was decided to slightly reduce the number of tasks with a short answer . The number of tasks on the profile USE level in mathematics was reduced to 19. Having solved all the tasks absolutely correctly, the graduate will receive 32 points. The division of the exam into levels showed, in general, good results, but it was noted that not all students were able to make the right choice between the two levels of the exam, the lack of awareness of both the students themselves and their parents and teachers about the goals and conditions of the exams affected, and as well as their impact on further education. The experience of the 2015 exam will allow for a more rational and efficient use of study hours this academic year, taking into account the interests of two different groups of graduates with different educational perspectives.

Below is a scale for the conversion of primary USE scores in mathematics 2016 at the profile level, created on the basis of this year's exam results. On its basis, an approximate scale for the transfer of primary USE scores in mathematics 2017 profile level, which you can focus on when preparing for the upcoming exam, without forgetting that it is only approximate and may differ from the scale by which the results will actually be evaluated .

minimum primary score - 6 , minimum test score - 27.

How many tasks do you need to complete in order to score a certain score on the exam? This question can be answered with the help of scales for converting primary scores into test scores.

The scale indicates the correspondence between primary and test scores.
Primary scores- this is preliminary points before being transferred to a 100-point scale (for example, in the Russian language for task No. 1 you can score 2 primary points, for task No. 2 - 1 primary point). You can get acquainted with the distribution of points for tasks in this article. Primary scores are converted into test scores.
Test scores - this is final points after transfer to a 100-point scale, with which applicants enter the university. For one item you can get no more 100 test points.

Purple points are allocated, which are not enough to pass the exam.

Maximum amount primary scores (USE 2016):
Russian language - 57 (+1) ;
Mathematics - 32 (-2) ;
Social studies - 62 (0) ;
Physics - 50 (0) ;
Biology - 61 (0) ;
History - 53 (-6) ;
Chemistry - 64 (0) ;
Foreign languages - 100 (0) ;
Informatics and ICT - 35 (0) ;
Literature - 42 (0) ;
Geography - 47 (-4) .
In parentheses, the change in primary scores compared to 2015 is indicated.

If the number of primary points does not change, then the scale for transferring points remains unchanged. Therefore, we can say that the scale social science, physics, biology, chemistry, foreign languages , informatics and literature for 2016 is 100% accurate. The greatest ambiguity is the scale in mathematics, because. in 2015 this scale taken "from the ceiling", it defies any logic; it is not clear what the math scale will look like in 2016.
Scale for converting points into grades by mathematics ( a basic level of) presented below:

Since 2015, the USE in mathematics has been divided into two levels: basic and specialized. USE profile level is intended for graduates who plan to enter technical and economic universities and further study higher mathematics.

If the graduate does not pass the profile exam, passing the exam at a basic level is a must! Without a positive mark for this exam, it is impossible to get a school certificate.

Naturally, exam options basic and specialized levels differ greatly both in the level of complexity of the proposed tasks and in their subject matter. The basic level involves familiarity with the basic concepts of algebra, geometry, arithmetic at the level of the school "four". Among the tasks of the profile level, there are serious tasks (for example, parametric ones) that require knowledge that goes beyond the scope of the school curriculum.

The USE variant in basic mathematics includes 20 questions that require only a short numerical answer. The student is not required to give a complete solution, is not required to substantiate the answer. For each correctly solved task, you can get 1 primary score. Thus, the maximum primary score is 20.

The scores obtained are translated into "traditional" grades according to the table below. So, for example, a graduate who scores 14 primary points receives a "good" rating.

USE in mathematics (basic level). Scale for converting primary scores into grades

Please note: a student who scores less than 7 points receives an "unsatisfactory" grade for the exam. In this case, the USE in mathematics will have to be retaken, otherwise the graduate runs the risk of being left without a certificate.

The above table was used at the USE in mathematics in 2015. The probability of any changes in 2016 is low, but the situation will finally become clear after the exam. It is still premature to make any forecasts for 2017.
